Special Disability Accommodation (SDA) refers to specially designed housing that caters to the needs of individuals with significant functional impairment or very high support needs. These accommodations are more than just accessible spaces; they are crafted to enhance independence and quality of life. SDA properties might include features like customised bedrooms, bathrooms with assistive technologies, and living spaces that are adaptable to various mobility aids. They also provide an environment where residents can receive the support services they need in a setting that feels like a true home. At Enabling Pathways, our SDA is focused on creating a blend of comfort, functionality, and personalisation, ensuring that each individual’s living experience is as empowering and fulfilling as possible.

Determining your eligibility for Special Disability Accommodation (SDA) funding under the NDIS is a process that requires a comprehensive evaluation of your unique needs and living situation. Typically, SDA funding is reserved for individuals facing extreme functional impairment or those who have very high support needs, which cannot be adequately met through standard housing options.

At Enabling Pathways, our dedicated team simplifies the NDIS process for you. We offer expert guidance on applying for SDA funding, ensuring your application is thorough and persuasive. For specialised advice, consult with your Support Coordinator or Local Area Coordinator. We’re committed to empowering you with the necessary support to secure the accommodation that meets your unique needs
